To the editor:
In the past five days I have traveled back and forth to the Webster County Fairgrounds to help with two weddings. I am saddened by the fact that in those five days I have seen the same dead cat on the left side of the road by the Quality Inn, further up a dead raccoon and on the other side a large deer. I know that more than 700 people drove by those dead animals to attend those weddings and what a great site to see.
If Fort Dodge cares about the beauty of the city, let's get someone in local government who does too. Jerry Messerly respected our animals dead or alive and took great pride in his job and our city and county, please those of you in charge you have spent a lot of money to make our city more beautiful, think about what this looks like to our citizens and our visitors.
