FONDA - Smithsonian recording artists Bob and Sheila Everhart will perform at the Fonda Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. July 8. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling (712) 288-6278, (712) 288-6681, or (712) 288-6256.

The program celebrates the 100th birthdays of Woody Guthrie, Minnie Pearl, Bill Monroe and Roy Rogers.

The Everharts are Smithsonian Folkways artists, devoted to preserving and performing America's rural music. They perform old-time and traditional acoustic music. Bob is proficient on 12-string guitar, French harp and as a lead vocalist. Sheila plays upright acoustic doghouse bass, and clog dances in the style of her Ozark Mountain ancestors.
