Seven young men from Fort Dodge recently attended the American Legion Hawkeye Boys State at Camp Dodge from June 10-15.
From Fort Dodge Senior High: Seth Dolan, son of Mark and Pam Dolan, sponsored by the American Legion; Keegan Jones, son of James and Rhonda Jones, sponsored by Noon Sertoma; Jordan Narber, son of Todd and Holly Narber, sponsored by Noon Kiwanis; and Austin Sanford, son of Steve and Shelly Sanford, sponsored by Golden K Kiwanis.

American Legion Hawkeye Boys State is a weeklong hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Iowa government. Through the American Legion Hawkeye Boys State objective of learning by doing, the young men learn about city, county, and state government.
Pictured are Dolan, Narber, Sanford, and Jones. Prebeck, Florey and Woodruff are not pictured.
