DAYTON - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued a boil order for Dayton, according to The Associated Press.
Maintenance work on the city water tower is making it tough for the city to maintain consistent water pressure. The DNR says that when the pressure drops, the possibility rises for contamination to enter the system.
The DNR is recommending that tap water be boiled before being used for drinking or cooking. The boil order will be lifted after the tower work is completed and the water supply checks out as being clear of contamination.
