SAYDEL - The St. Edmond softball team had a strong night offensively, scoring in all but one inning to claim an 8-7 victory over Saydel on Tuesday.
The 15th-ranked Gaels (14-7 overall) pounded out nine hits and scored one run in five separate innings and two in the third.
"We did a lot of things right on the base path to get in position,'' said SEHS head coach Paul Hunt. "The girls did a good job of knowing the situation (at the plate) with runners in scoring position.''
Jaci Stumpf had two-run inside the park home run for the Gaels. Timmi Dencklau had a solo home run for the Gaels.
Stumpf, Dencklau and Anna Yung were all 2-for-3 in the contest.
Katie Donnelly (12-4) struck out nine batters for the Gaels.
