Name released in Saturday fatality

BADGER - The Iowa State patrol has released the name of a young woman involved in a fatal car crash Saturday.

Kennedy Jeanette Wilson, 17, of Badger, died on the scene of a rollover accident on Paragon Avenue approximately one mile north of Badger.

According to the report, Wilson, who was driving a 2004 Chrysler 300, was southbound on Paragon Avenue when she dropped off onto the shoulder, over corrected, entered the east ditch, struck a field driveway and rolled over. She was then ejected from the vehicle. According to the report, she was not wearing a seat belt.

Wilson was declared dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Webster County Sheriff's Department, the Badger Fire Department, Vincent Fire and Rescue, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and the Webster County Medical Examiner.

Services for Wilson are pending under the auspices of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.
