Rita A. Lindner, 90, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Marian Home Village.

Funeral service will be Friday June 15th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Clare. Visitation will be today from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home with a Legion of Mary Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a vigil at 6:00 p.m.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Rita (Charles) Davis of Greeley, CO; Paula (Don) Basinger of Racine, WI; and Deb (Rick) Richards of Humboldt; sons, Richard (Darlene) Lindner Jr. of Fort Dodge; Dennis (Julie) Lindner of Red Bluff, CA; Tom (Janice) Lindner of Clear Lake, IA; Bill (Norma) Lindner of Bolivar, MO; Doug (Kathy) Lindner of Fort Dodge; John (Stacy) Lindner of Muscatine, IA; 52 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Crouse; Herschel Crouse of Orange County, CA; sisters, Eileen Fleming, Ann Mueller, Jean Freund, and Joan Lombard all of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Laura (Rearden) Crouse; husband, Richard; daughters, Patricia Ferry and Karen Lindner; grandsons, Kevin Pankey and Jeff Lawler; sisters, Catherine Johnson and Leota Moore; brother, Garland Crouse.

Rita A Crouse was born January 27, 1922 in Coalville. She was educated in Fort Dodge. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Richard Lindner and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. For a number of years, Rita cooked for the Fort Dodge Catholic School System and then 10 years for Trinity Regional Medical Center. From 1955 to 1990 the couple made their home in Clare before returning to Fort Dodge. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Legion of Mary, and the Rosary Society.
