FD man admits to meth involvement

SIOUX CITY - A Fort Dodge man pleaded guilty in Federal Court in Sioux City Tuesday to conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine.

At a plea hearing, Rodney Mrozek Jr., 31, admitted his involvement in a conspiracy that manufactured at least 50 grams of meth from December 2009 through July 2011. According to pseudoephedrine purchase logs, October 2006 through 2011 Mrozek acquired at least 97.44 grams of pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment and a $10 million fine.

FD man charged with stalking

A Fort Dodge man is facing a felony charge of stalking after allegedly intimidating a woman.

Nathaniel Pringle, 31, is alleged to have done this between May 15 and May 26.

The criminal complaint, filed with the Webster County attorney's office, said Pringle "engaged in a course of conduct" that caused a woman to fear bodily injury.

Pringle, the complaint said, should have known his behavior was causing the victim fear.

The victim and Pringle have a no-contact order between each other, according to the criminal complaint.

He was ordered held on $5,000 cash bond by Magistrate Bruce Cornell at his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Thursday morning.

His preliminary hearing is set for June 7.
