The Bill Riley Talent Search will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. June 3 in the opera house at the Fort Museum.
The Talent Search is a statewide program open to anyone living in Iowa. There are three basic areas of talent - dance, vocal and instrumental - in two age divisions: sprouts and seniors. There is no cost to participate in the show. To register, call Sandy Hollingsworth, 576-3279. Pre-registration is recommended.
Acts may not have more than five performers and cannot run more than 3 minutes.
Vocalists are encouraged to have live accompaniment; pre-recorded accompaniment with no vocal backup may be used.
A qualifying act in each division will advance to the Iowa State Fair Competition.
Prizes will be awarded in two age divisions: sprout, ages 2 to 12; and seniors, ages 13 to 21.
