Garrigan blanks Eagles
EAGLE GROVE - Austin Vaske turned in a strong performance for Bishop Garrigan on Friday night.
Vaske picked up the win with a one-hitter. He struckout seven and no walks.
At the plate he was 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double. He drove in three runs and scored four times.
Reece Wadle was 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs. Zach Keith was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and four runs scored.
Alex Boisjolie was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Grant Reding had two hits for the Golden Bears (4-2 overall, 1-0 North Central Conference.
John Burns had a home run.
For Eagle Grove (2-1, 0-1) Cole Beecher had a double.

Eagles stop Cougars
MANSON - It was a pitchers showcase in Manson on Friday night as Southeast Webster-Grand earned a 6-1 victory over Manson Northwest Webster.
Curt Castenson had a strong night at the plate and on the mound for the Eagles (2-2 overall). Castenson was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double. On the mound he struckout 12.
Moser suffered the loss for the Cougars (0-2), but he fanned 11 batters and recorded a double at the plate.
