NEWS: Pat Hogan stopped in Fort Dodge on a trip from Minnesota to his home in Wyoming on horseback.

SPORTS: The Fort Dodge girls claimed their first track and field champtionship for the season in Class 3A district action at Sioux City.

NEWS: Vicky Farrell, a sixth-grader at Arey school, and Jody Lingreen, a freshman at St. Edmond High School, were awarded first rating certificates by the Iowa Poetry Association.
