To the editor:
I would like to express my disappointment on no coverage of the Anti-Bullying Rally that was held on April 28. This is a very important topic among any age these days. The awareness to everyone needs to be out there to let the community know that this town, along with others, will not tolerate bullying.
I, myself, was unable to attend the rally. But, my kids did and they were overwhelmed about how many people did attend and did care to join in. I am so glad that there are people in this community that do care about others and their feelings, and are willing to do this for them and everyone else. Some people may not realize it, but bullying really does hurt. There have been people who have taken their lives because of this topic. And, those should not have happened.
Those that do get bullied need to find it in themselves to report it, control it or stop it. And sometimes that is hard for the person to handle it. I can honestly say one of my daughters has stood up for someone that got bullied.
I want to truly thank everyone who participated and coordinated the Anti-Bullying Rally. A job well done that does deserve attention.
