Heart 'n Home, of Laurens, is one of the top 10 finalists in the National Retail Federation "This is Retail" video contest.
The announcement comes after a week of public voting through NRF's Retail Means Jobs website. More than 245,000 votes were cast in a six-day period.
"We can't believe that this is happening" Julie Wurr, owner of Heart 'n Home, said Friday. "We keep hearing how people are amazed that a small town in the Midwest pulled so many votes."
Voting will continue through Sunday.
Heart 'n Home's video was directed and created by Adam Wurr, a media production senior at South Dakota State University.
"We will need everyone with an email address to vote in this next round - it is going to be tough,"Wurr said. "We wouldn't have moved into this round of the contest without the support of everyone around. Every vote counts in this contest. You can vote 10 times each day for the same business. And NRF has confirmed that they will protect your email address. You will not get spam. They are destroying the email addresses after announcing the top three winners."
The top three finalists will be flown out to Washington, D.C., for a leadership conference. First place is $25,000, second place is $15,000 and third Place is $10,000.
