Couple arrested on multiple charges
WALL LAKE - A Wall Lake couple has been arrested on firearms and marijuana charges, according to the Sac County Sheriff's Department.
Jeffery A. Schoon, 47, has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana (third subsequent offense), deputies reported.
Roxena Schoon, 39, has been charged with aiding and abetting possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana, according to the Sheriff's Department.
As of Friday afternoon, both were in the Sac County Jail, the Sheriff's Department reported. Bond has been set at $16,250 apiece.
They were arrested Thursday morning when law enforcement officers conducted a search at 304 Summit St. in Wall Lake. During the search, a handgun, a rifle, ammunition for both weapons, a small amount of suspected mairjuana and drug paraphernalia were seized, the Sheriff's Department reported.
Sac County deputies were assisted by the entry team from the Storm Lake Police Department, Lake View police and drug task force members from Crawford County.
Duncombe woman faces meth charges
A woman has been arrested on charges of producing meth in a Fort Dodge home.
Tabatha Andrews, 26, Duncombe, has been charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
Andrews, according to court documents, agreed to manufacture over 5 grams of meth with at least two other people at a Fort Dodge home. Additionally, when the home was searched on Nov. 21, Andrews allegedly had meth on her.
She had her initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Friday. Magistrate Bruce Cornell ordered Andrews held on $101,000 bond, and scheduled a preliminary hearing for April 5.
