FD man charged with burglary, theft
A Fort Dodge man who was once on Webster County Crime Stoppers' most wanted list has been located.
Davon M. Butts, 34, has been charged with second-degree theft and third-degree burglary.
Butts, according to court documents, broke into a woman's car in the Walmart parking lot and stole an engagement ring and two wedding rings that were in the car.
The value of the items is estimated to be $7,636.59.
The alleged incident happened on Jan. 18.
Butts appeared in Webster County Magistrate Court on Friday, where Magistrate Steve Kersten ordered him held on $7,000 bond.
He scheduled Butts' preliminary hearing for March 30.
