No injuries in Sac County rollover

SAC CITY - A Saturday rollover accident has caused no injuries to those involved.

According to a press release from Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure, Nola Jean Harper, 64, of Des Moines, was traveling north on Sac County Road M54 about 2 1/4 miles north of Sac City. McClure said Harper looked back to check on her 6-year-old granddaughter when she lost control of the car. The car rolled several times after going into the west ditch.

McClure said responding deputies "were amazed that no one (was) injured given the violent nature of this accident."

He said he believes the fact that both victims were wearing seatbelts was what saved them.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated to be at $15,000.

No charges have been filed.
