LAKE CITY - South Central Calhoun High School went into "cautionary lockdown" Friday at 11:05 a.m.
The Lake City Police Department received a call from the high school in reference to a possible threat of violence. Officers arrived and met with the school's administrators.
The school was placed on lockdown for the safety of the students and faculty, according to a Lake City police press release. After a search of the building and parking lots, the school was deemed to be safe and students returned to their normal classes.
