Those who like to bike, run and swim will have the opportunity on Feb. 25 when the Fort Dodge Community Recreation Center holds its fourth annual indoor triathlon.
Each participant will receive a participation medal, and awards will be given to the top three places in each category. Participants will also receive a free T-shirt.
Although the triathlon is open to all ages, there will also be a youth triathlon for those as young as 11.
According to Dave Pearson, FDCRC executive director, "the Rec Tri is also for youths, but is a little more competitive. That's the difference between the two."
The objective in the triathlon is to cover as much distance as possible in a given time for each age group, Pearson said in a press release: "The person with the most total distance covered ... is the winner."
Free training for members and participants is available up until the competition, Pearson said.
Cost to participate is $30 for adults and $15 for those in the youth triathlon. There is a team division in the regular triathlon, and cost of registration there is $75.
