Charles Palmer, the director of the Iowa Department of Human Services, will visit Fort Dodge Wednesday to talk about upcoming changes to the state's mental health and developmental disabilities system.
He will be present from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Zodiac Room at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn & Suites at the intersection of highways 7 and 169.
Anyone with questions or comments is strongly encouraged to attend.
Local service providers are also encouraged to participate.
The event was initiated by area legislators to provide an opportunity for the citizens of the area to provide input and receive top-level feedback regarding the direction and progress being made in the process of redesign and evolution of the Iowa MH/DD system.
