Helen Gloe, Fort Dodge, left, shows one of the two quilts she made and donated for the Sensory Room at the new Northwoods Products & Services site, 1301 A St. Darlene Anderson, Fort Dodge, tied the quilts. They made them as part of St. Paul Lutheran Church’s Mission House, which quilts and puts together school kits on Wednesday mornings.
The Mission House and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church responded with two quilts each when they heard Northwoods Products & Services needed items to help absorb the sound in the room, which had been quite echoey. Clients and staff in the Art Therapy program of Northwoods Living, a service of Opportunity Village, painted and decorated canvas panels for the room.
