Jim Hanson is one of the recipients of the November Fort Dodge Correctional Facility Spotlight Award. This monthly award was established to recognize individuals who have performed outstanding work, demonstrated a commitment to a team atmosphere. participated in a major accomplishment or are/were involved in a project or event in the operation of the facility or in the community.
Hanson began his career with the Department of Corrections at FDCF on Feb. 13, 1998, as a correctional officer. He is a unit officer and union president.
