WEST BEND - No. 6 West Bend-Mallard doubled up Laurens-Marathon by a 68-34 final in opening-round 8-Man playoff action.

Jesse Zinnel, a 160-pound sophomore, led the way for the Wolverines (9-1 overall) offensively with 88 yards and a pair of scores on 17 carries.

Logan Streit also produced 72 yards and found paydirt twice for WB-M, while quarterback Mitch Bonnstetter added a touchdown run and returned a kickoff 70 yards to the endzone.

Bonnstetter was 7-for-14 passing as well for 63 yards and two scores.

Defensive standouts for the Wolverines were Streit, Anthony Bruellman, Grimm, Matt Goeders and Dustin Johnson.

West Bend-Mallard advances to meet eighth-ranked Newell-Fonda (9-1) on Monday. The Mustangs ousted Graettinger-Terril, 58-41.
