HUMBOLDT - A benefit for Don and Angie Barnes, who were involved in a motorcycle accident in Fort Dodge in September, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at The Prowler, 402 Sumner Ave., Humboldt.
The accident has resulted in serious injuries, loss of work and major medical expenses.
A bake sale will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with an auction from 7 to 8 p.m. The band Hell or High Water will play from 8 p.m. to midnight.
A $5 donation will buy a chance to win a $500 motorclothes wardrobe from Ernie's Harley-Davidson, Algona.
Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable item or gift certificate from Fareway or Hy-Vee for the Barnes' cupboard.
Pork loin and sloppy joe sandwiches will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m., or until the food is gone. Cost of the meal is a freewill donation.
