The annual fall Brown Bag Series sponsored by the Friends of the Library will go from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays in October in the meeting room of the library.
Presentations are free. Coffee and juice are provided, and those who attend may bring a lunch.
Thursday's program is "Folk and Traditions Arts and Artists in North Central Iowa." Rachelle H. "Riki" Saltzman, folklife coordinator for the Iowa Arts Council Department of Cultural Affairs, will discuss her job as state folklorist. She will talk about a recent statewide survey of Iowa's folk traditions and artists and about work with Iowa multicultural and diversity issues.
