ALGONA - A group called Ethan's Angels is asking for financial support in raising funds for the Ethan Fairbanks family.
Ethan is the 9-year-old son of Tom Fairbanks and Amanda Claman. He was diagnosed with ostesarcoma cancer in 2009, and in 2010 a leg was amputated and tumors removed from his lungs. At that time, he went through aggressive chemotherapy.
In April and July of this year, he had more tumors removed from his lung. With this type of cancer, he will continue to have tumors and will face needed surgery.
Ethan's Angels are hoping for a gift of at least $1 from as many people as possible, which will help the family defray some of the cost during treatment and recovery. Even a small gift will help.
Financial gifts may be sent to Ethan Fairbanks family, P.O. Box 255, Algona, IA 50511.
