On behalf of Calvert & Johnson Insurance Services Inc. and EMC Insurance Companies, Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma received a $1,000 grant through the 100 Ways of Giving program in celebration of the 100-year anniversary of EMC Insurance Companies. The check presentation took place on June 15.
The $1,000 grant will be used by Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma for phase II of the Veterans Memorial Park project, which will extend the existing walkway another 700 feet, allowing additional memorial trees to be planted. The improvements will also create handicap access to the lower amphitheater for community activities. The Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma, in conjunction with Webster County Conservation, has transformed the northwest corner of Kennedy Memorial Park into Veterans Memorial Park. The park features a walkway lined with trees, leading to an amphitheater overlooking Badger Lake.
