WINIFRED “WINNIE” D. MCNEIL ADDEN

DES MOINES - Winifred "Winnie" D. McNeil Adden died September 10, 2010 at Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 14 at 11 a.m. at Westkirk Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the church.

Winifred was born on a farm in Green County, IA, a few miles from Churdan. She was the daughter of Clarence and Cora Anderson and graduated from Lohrville Consolidated School in 1937 and taught Country School for a number of years. Winifred was united in marriage to Curtis W. McNeil November 1, 1941. To this union three children were born, one daughter, Diane Skinner and twin sons, Kenneth and Kevin McNeil. Winifred spent most of her career working at Brenton National Bank, retiring as Office Manager after 25 years with the bank. After Curtis and her retirement, winters were spent in the Rio Grand Valley of Texas. After Curtis passed away, she married Clarence Adden in 1990.

Surviving is her daughter, Diane Skinner and her husband, Jerry Skinner; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
