The Moose Lodge annual Easter egg hunt will start at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dodger Stadium, with registration from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration fee is 50 cents.
The hunt will be for children 18 months through fourth grade, with age categories. After the hunt, there will be a drawing for prizes.
Sponsored by Moose Lodge 806 and Women of the Moose Chapter 590, the egg hunt has a rain date of April 10.
At 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the Ann Smeltzer Charitable Trust will sponsor a family Easter egg hunt on the front lawn of the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave.
A free ticket is required to attend this event, intended for children 3 to 8 years old. The free tickets may be picked up by the parents of the children at the children's reference desk at the library. All tickets are given to parents on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are a limited number of tickets available.
Other towns also have planned Easter egg hunts.
Algona: 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Park, for children age 9 and younger; sponsored by Noon Kiwanis.
Badger: 10 a.m. Saturday, Knudson Park, for children through fifth grade. If bad weather, it will be at the community center.
Bode: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Olaf Lutheran Church, in conjunction with Community Club omelet breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Boxholm: 10 a.m. Saturday, school.
Callender: 10 a.m. Saturday, City Park, sponsored by Lions Club.
Clarion: 8 a.m. Easter bunny, 9 a.m. drawings and 9:30 hunt Saturday, swimming pool park. If there is bad weather, the hunt will be at the high school.
Dayton: 1 p.m. Saturday, Dayton Oaks Camp.
Eagle Grove: 10 a.m. Saturday, Greenwood Park.
Emmetsburg: 11 a.m. Saturday, Smith Wellness Center.
Farnhamville: 10 a.m. Saturday, Farmer's Cooperative community room, for toddlers through second grade. Easter bunny, games.
Goldfield: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Old School Park, for children through fifth grade. In bad weather, at school.
Gowrie: 1 p.m. Saturday, Laurel Park. Easter bunny and activities. If the weather is bad, it will be at the skating rink.
Humboldt: 10 a.m. Saturday, Taft Park, sponsored by Humboldt/Dakota City Noon Kiwanis. In bad weather, middle school gym.
Lehigh: noon Saturday, Lehigh ball park.
Livermore: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Livermore Library, for children through fifth grade, sponsored by library and Livermore United Methodist Women. An hour of activities, plus puppet show. At 10:30 a.m., egg hunt at Lotts Creek Park west of town.
LuVerne: 2 p.m. today, LuVerne Community School playground, for fourth-grade and younger. Inside if bad weather. The Easter Bunny will be part of the day.
Mallard: 10 a.m. Saturday, Easter egg party, Mallard Public Library, with crafts, games, storytime, treats.
Moorland: 1 p.m. Saturday, at the fire department.
Pocahontas: 1 p.m. Saturday, Arlington Place.
Renwick: 11 a.m. Saturday, tennis court park.
Rockwell City: 12:30 p.m. April 4, for infants through 5 years, and 1:30 p.m. for children 6 to 9, Rockwell City Public Library.
Rolfe: 10 a.m. Saturday, RAM Event Center.
Stratford: noon Saturday, city park.
Whittemore: 10 a.m. Saturday for children through age 12, Noah's Park. Second hunt, 10 a.m., downtown, eggs can be found at Whittemore American Legion Hall and redeemed at area businesses for small cash prize. For anyone.
Woolstock: 10 a.m. Saturday, community hall.
