Francine Lynn Armstrong, 55, of Fort Dodge, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at her home.
Francine is survived by her children, Jennifer (Terrence) Lynn, Autumn (Randall) Armstrong, Garret (Jenny) Armstrong, Theresa Armstrong and Molly (Joseph) Edwards; her grandchildren, Maggie Armstrong, Jaden Loveless, Opal Edwards and Tempest Armstrong; her mother Mildred Samuelson Armstrong; her siblings, Carol (Jack) Summers, Cheryl (Richard) Gnade, William (Kathy) Armstrong, Robert Armstrong and Bruce (Rose) Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her father Harold Armstrong, nephew Kevin Defoe and beloved baby Christopher.
Francine was a member of the Fort Dodge Seventh Day Adventist Church and she loved the Lord dearly. Up until she passed away, Francine worked at Village Inn. In her spare time, "Granny Franny" enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and spending time with the ones she loved; most importantly her grandchildren. Francine was known for her many home improvement projects. She will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Hubert Bardin, pastor of the Fort Dodge Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiating. Cremation rites will follow at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services and family interment services will be held at a later date. The visitation is Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
