Bonnie Jean Cunningham, 78, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home after a long battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be at Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Peters officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Manford, Sons, Kenneth (Leony) Cunningham of Hampton, VA and Bill (Diane) Cunningham, Olathe, KS. Daughter, Jean (Bruce) Warg of Fort Dodge, IA. Grandchildren, Amando Pacultad, Sterling Asingua, Kenneth Cunningham, Carl Cunningham, Megan (Sean) Bailey, Janel Cunningham, Lindsey Cunningham, Jeremy Browning, and Sarah Browning. Great Grandchildren, Aubrey & Ellie Bailey. Brother, Jerry (Gail) Wright, Winnfield, La. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul, parents, Manley and Margaret Wright, brothers, Morris Haskell and Manley Wright Jr. and sister, Lilyan Hunt.

Bonnie Wright was born in Fort Dodge, on October 2, 1931 to Manley and Margaret (Weber) Wright. Married to Manford Cunningham on June 16, 1951, they celebrated over 58 years of marriage. For 19 years she worked at Sears & Roebuck as a salesperson and took early retirement. Afterwards, she volunteered and became involved in many local organizations. She was on the board of Crime Stoppers, a member of the Fort Dodge Women's Club, Trinity United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Bonnie also enjoyed the many activities at church and she was also an avid 500 player and a member of the Les Chapeaux Rouges chapter of the Red Hat Society until ill health kept her from participating. Bonnie will always be remembered for her laughter, sense of humor, volunteer work and as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
