A logo for a city on the move
Fort Dodge has a new logo thanks to the hard work of the Fort Dodge Area Chamber of Commerce Image Committee and graphic designer Sara Hill, a member of the committee.
The Chamber developed the logo at no cost to the city. On Nov. 23, the City Council officially accepted the Image Committee's excellent design. It features an arc reminiscent of the Oleson Park Bandshell combined with jagged lines symbolizing the hills and waterways of Fort Dodge. The logo will appear on the large signs that welcome travelers to the city. It will be featured on the city government's letterhead and will eventually adorn city vehicles.
The new logo represents more than just an attractive decoration. The effort to produce this symbol, is just one of numerous indications that many of the folks who call Fort Dodge home are highly committed to the city's future. The Chamber and other community groups are working hard to build a bright tomorrow for Fort Dodge. That so many individuals are willing to lend their particular talents to helping this city thrive is good evidence that good things lie ahead.
