LAKE CITY - Lake City Sara Sorenson, 29, formerly of Fort Dodge and Sioux City, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Greg Baskerville officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.

Sara is survived by her mother, Sue Sorenson of Storm Lake, IA; sister, Mary Ludwig (Bret) of Sac City and nieces Tyrei, Tristin and Emerson; brother, Joe Sorenson (Sandy) of Wichita, KS and nieces, Julianna and Oakley; grandparents, Peggy and Daryl Heim of Lake City, IA, grandfather, Joe Rhodes of Owensboro, KY, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Sorenson; grandmother, Betty Lou Rhodes; and grandfather, Andrew Sorenson.
