Robert J. Glaser 75, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30 AM Monday, November 23, 2009 at Corpus Christi Church. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Survivors include his wife Pat; his children Gus Glaser and Dr. Kathleen Halka, San Antonio, TX; Mary Glaser and Phil Billard, Waldorf, MD; Karen Glaser, Le Claire, IA; Bill and Clara Glaser, Rockwell City, IA; Donna and Richard Lemmons, Enid, OK; Diane Glaser and David Tamminen, Morganton, NC, grandchildren: Angela and Jason Mickelson, Joel Oswald and Jerilyn Jensen, David Dencklau, and Monica Baietti, great grandchildren Eily Mickelson and Allegra Oswald. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Eileen Glaser and daughter Jane Marie Glaser.

Bob was born May 15, 1934, in Omaha, NE and graduated from Corpus Christi Academy. He married Patricia Wafful of Fort Dodge in 1952.

For 18 years Bob worked with his father at Gus Glaser Meats selling lunch meat in every county in Iowa. He then purchased National Auto Parts and managed it until his retirement in 1995.

Bob was past president of the Fort Dodge Gun Club at Mud Lake where he enjoyed many years of hunting and he was a life time sponsor of Ducks Unlimited. Bob was a loyal member of Alcoholics Anonymous for several days at a time for 20 years. He loved to travel, entertain and was famous for his culinary expertise.

In Lieu of Flower memorials may be left to St Edmond Music Department, Ducks Unlimited, Chapter JX PEO, or Alano Club (AA).
