Triton men lose in final seconds

NORFOLK, Neb. - The Iowa Central men's basketball team lost in the final seconds on Saturday night.

The Tritons (3-1 overall) suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Northeast Nebraksa, 75-73.

Iowa Central's Jake Peterson stole the ball and hit a three to the tie contest at 73-73 with seven seconds left.

Northeast hit a shot in the lane with 4.3 seconds left out of a timeout on the side.

Kurt Alexander led the Tritons with 22 points. Wiebe Goodyk had 12, Peterson added 11 and Terell Parks added 12.

Parks and Alexaner had nine rebounds each for the Tritons.

The Tritons head to Boone for the DMACC Classic next weekend.
