Fort Dodge man stabbed

Victim’s identity not released

A Fort Dodge man was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after he was stabbed.

His medical condition was unknown at press time.

The Fort Dodge Police Department responded to a call of a possible stabbing at 1408 5th Ave. N. shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday. Public records indicate the house belongs to an S. Green.

A male victim was taken by ambulance to Trinity Regional Medical Center shortly after officers arrived at the residence.

Sgt. Chuck Guthrie, of the Fort Dodge Police Department, confirmed there was a stabbing at the house.

A woman and two young children left the house shortly after the victim was taken to the hospital. Several people, who appeared to be family members and friends of the victim, came to the residence, a two-story single-family home.

Officials from law enforcement and TRMC were unable to release the victim's identity Thursday evening.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted by Fort Dodge Fire and Rescue, Trinity Regional Medical Center paramedics and the Webster County Sheriff's Department.
