MANSON - Robert W. Evenson, 60, died Thurs. Oct. 29, 2009, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Sat. Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson with Rev. Janelle Siffring officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Manson. Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Wayne Evenson was born on May 22, 1949, at Ft. Dodge, IA, the son of Vernon and Ruth (Martin) Evenson. After attending Manson High School he was employed at Manson John Deere Implement for 17 years. He began working as a handyman for a period of four years before beginning a brief employment with Bob Russell helping to build the Manson Elevator. He was then employed at Pinkerton Security in Ft. Dodge before retiring due to health problems.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Peggy in 2005 as well as his sister Julie on May 8, 2009.
