PATRICIA “POODIE” SORBER

BENNET, Colo. - Patricia A. "Poodie" Sorber, 67 of Bennet, Colorado, died Thursday October 22, 2009 at the Hospice of Denver, Aurora, Colorado.

Survivors include her husband Loren Sorber of Bennet, Colorado, son Mick (Julie) Echelberger of Loveland, Colorado, daughters Kelly (Tony) Goodpaster, Lehigh, Iowa, Rhonda (Mike) Mayer, Aurora, Colorado. Grandchildren Brandi Dunn, Fort Dodge, IA, Megan Goodpaster Salt Lake City, Utah, Amy and Jay Goodpaster, Lehigh, IA, Tricia Purvis, Jamie Mayer, Aurora, Co, Shelby and Allision Echelberger, Loveland, Co, Tyson Owenson of Strasburg, Co. 5 great grandchildren. Brothers Don(Earlene) Nordstrom, Ron (Marnell) Nordstrom, Fort Dodge, John(Barb) Nordstrom, Denton, TX. Sisters Mary(Jim) Freeze, Albuquerque, NM, Carolyn "Jo" Johnson, Fort Dodge, Eveylyn (Jack) Jones, Loveland, Co. Many nieces and nephews.

Poodie is preceded in death by her parents Reynold and Evelyn Nordstrom, sisters Gerri Nordstrom and Jackie Appleton.

Patricia Ann " Poodie" Nordstrom was born June 21, 1942 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She attended school in Fort Dodge. She was united in marriage in 1959 to Michael Echelberger, they later divorced. She owned and operated the Rusty Spur Lounge in Dayton, Ia. She united in marriage to Loren Sorber in 1983 and they made their home in Lake Elsinore, Ca. She retired from Elsinore Unified School District in 2006. In 2008 they moved to Bennet, Co.

In her spare time she loved to scrapbook and spend time with her friends and family.

Memorial will be held Nov. 7th at her home in Bennet, Co.
