DAYTON - Ruth E. Carpenter, 91, of Dayton, Iowa, and formerly of Lehigh, died Thursday morning, October 15, 2009, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.

Ruth's body has been cremated. Graveside burial of ashes will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2009, at Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Lehigh, Iowa. Carson Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton is in charge of arrangements.
