Helen Mary Davidson, 88, of Fort Dodge, died July 5, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Grindberg officiating. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Helen Carroll, the daughter of James and Anna (Skein) Carroll, was born July 21, 1920 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1938. She was united in marriage to Paul Davidson on September 3, 1941. She was employed many years as an office clerk working for Tobins and Gus Glaser Meats and later worked as an attendant for the Webster County Home. In recent years she loved being a Foster Grandma at Duncombe School. She loved children and loved going to ballgames.

She is survived by her son John (Barb) Davidson and grandchildren Aaron (Krystal) Davidson and Andy (Brittany) Davidson; her daughter Paula (Steve) Torkelson and grandchildren Jenni (Mike) Szalat and Jake Torkelson, all of Fort Dodge; nine great grandchildren, and her special cousin Marian Beisser. Preceding her in death were her parents, her siblings Eileen Konvalinka, Robert Carroll and Patricia Carroll and her husband Paul in 1983.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
