PATRICIA L. ANDERSEN
HUMBOLDT - Patricia L. Andersen, 78, of Humboldt, died July 1, 2009 at the Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday July 5, 2009 at the Faith United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Hobbs officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Pat is survived by her daughter Diane (Steve) Bohan of Humboldt; grandchildren, Jason (Whitney) Andersen of Fort Dodge, Stephanie Bohan of Fort Dodge, Josh Andersen of Humboldt, and Juddy Andersen of Humboldt; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Aubrey; sisters, JoAnn (Chuck) Sexe of Humboldt, and Eileen (Wally) Jacobsen of Wells, MN; and brother, Bob (Ceil) Burns of Palm Desert, CA She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Andersen; son, Rick Andersen; sister, Kathy Stamper; and infant sister, Ethel Burns.
Patricia "Pat" L. Burns, the daughter of Ralph and Jessie (Nixon) Burns, was born June 3, 1931 at Wells, Minnesota. She was raised and educated at Wells and graduated from Wells High School. Following her education, Pat was employed by J.C. Penny's. She was united in marriage to Frank Andersen on August 22, 1953 at the Methodist Church in Wells, Minnesota. The couple made their home briefly at Fort Dodge before moving to Humboldt where they remained all their married lives.
Pat was employed for a time at Anthony's in Humboldt. Pat's greatest love was her family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She was active in cub scouts and girl scouts and found great reward in hosting foster children.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt where she was active in UMW. She and Frank loved to dance especially square dancing and had served as the presidents of the Square Dancing Club. An avid reader, Pat enjoyed newspapers, ceramics and crafts, and enjoyed shopping, especially sales at Younkers.
