A shooting Saturday evening in downtown Fort Dodge left one man injured.
According to a report from the Fort Dodge Police Department, Darwin Foy was shot in the lower leg outside the Dodger Tap, 22 N. 12th St.
Police officers and firefighters with the Fort Dodge Fire Department were on the scene at around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
Foy, 25, of Fort Dodge, was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Firefighters provided first aid on the scene and helped load Foy onto an ambulance, said Capt. Paul Neeson of the Fort Dodge Fire Department.
Police Lt. Dennis Mernka said that Foy was shot on the sidewalk outside the Dodger Tap.
As of Sunday, no arrests had been made related to the incident, which remains under investigation, Mernka said.
"We're doing a lot of follow-up," he said.
According to Mernka, officers spent Sunday talking to several witnesses.
"We're trying to get more names and information," Mernka said.
