HOUSTON, TEXAS - Michael Donald Chada - 50, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Fort Dodge, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Pasadena Care Center in Pasadena, TX.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12th in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Bruch officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Township Cemetery south of Knierim. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Surviving is his former wife, Susan Dobyns and their children; Keith (Nicci), grandchildren, Alex, Allison, McKenna and a baby girl to be born in September; daughter, Kari (Doug) son, Christopher (Jordan), sister Susan (Woodrow) Wheat and children, Jeremy and Nicholas; brother, Dean (Kelli) and their son, Gunner and another brother, Richard; parents, Donald and Harlene (Walrod) Chada; uncle, Ron Chada (AKA Mike) of Arizona; dear friend, Sue Anthony and her family of South Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Cecelia Chada and Arthur and Ellen Walrod.

Michael D. Chada was born March 10, 1959 in Fort Dodge, Iowa where he attended school. He drove truck for a number of different companies and worked as a mechanic in different shops here and in Texas and retired in 1998 due to ill health.

He enjoyed country music and going to Giley and was a fan of Elvis.

Memorials may be left to Trinity Hospice.
