Pathfinders to hold open house

Pathfinders Church is hold an open house for former area ministers, Jonathan and Lynne Smith, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church, 519 Central Ave.

The get-together is open to the public.

The Smiths lived in Fort Dodge from 1986 to 1996. They pastored First Assembly of God and later the Church on the Move. During their time in Fort Dodge, their three sons attended Community Christian School and Fort Dodge public schools.

After leaving Fort Dodge, Jonathan Smith taught at Des Moines Christian School, and later they accepted a position at Eugene Bible College in Eugene, Ore. At the college, he was director of student development and an instructor. She managed the college book store and ministered to the college community in prayer and prophetic teaching.

They continue to live and minister in Eugene with their sons, Brandon and Nathan. Their oldest, Ryan, and his wife Danielle, pastor a church in Gold Bar, Wash.
