KEVIN BORDWELL

STRATFORD - Kevin Carroll Bordwell passed away on May 28, of 2009 in Stratford, Iowa at the age of 43. There will be a memorial service remembering his life on Monday, June 1, 2009 at The First Baptist Church in Webster City, Iowa, with Rev. Doerr officiating. Mr. Bordwell will be cremated with an interment to follow at a later date.

A son, father, brother, and friend; Kevin was born in Story City, IA on August 22, 1965. A childhood resident of Webster City, Kevin also lived in Germany, Alabama, and Kansas while serving honorably in the United States Army for 14 years where he earned the rank of Sergeant. He most recently resided in Florida where he was employed as a computer engineer.

Kevin trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as a youth, and was a respected friend of many. Kevin overcame difficult hardships in his life in order to succeed. He was very proud to serve his country doing research for over a decade. Successfully returning to school and gaining recognition as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer being another proud moment.

He is survived by two children: Ashley and Benjamin Bordwell; his parents: Lynn & Curtis Conklin; father: Deral Bordwell; sisters: Tammy Jones and Melissa Zahn; three nephews; a niece and a great-nephew and cousins. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, May Bordwell; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hook Bordwell, Robert & Geraldine Conklin, Clarence E. Babcock, Harry & Epsie Struck.
