Dayton deputy clerk faces charge

DAYTON - The former city deputy clerk for the city of Dayton was charged with stealing from the city on Friday.
Jessie Sorenson, 35, of Dayton, appeared in Webster County Magistrate Court Friday, accused of taking $1,384.91 from the city of Dayton's utilities account between March and October.
According to Dayton City Clerk Randy Danielson, Sorenson was an employee of the city for more than a year and is no longer working there.
Second-degree theft is a Class D felony punishable with up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
Sorenson was released and her case was transferred to District Court to await scheduling.

Is this suprising? watch the news on tv i bet almost everyday you hear about somebody, or organization stealing from their own. i guess too many places/people need more than 1 person to be in control of their own money as in maybe the whole group needs to okay it, or sign for money to be taken out. too manyy crtooked people out there!

Someone in Dayton finally got caught? I have heard other stories of missing funds in that town that just seem to fade away. She must not be a member of "The Group."
