BURLINGTON - The No. 17 Iowa Central women's basketball team opened conference play with a lopsided 86-53 victory over Southeastern Sunday.
The Tritons (7-2 overall, 1-0 in ICCAC) took a commanding 35-20 advantage at the half and never looked back.
All 15 players on the Iowa Central roster saw action in the contest. The Tritons also received 38 points from their bench.
Abby Brend paced Iowa Central with 19 points. Fort Dodge Senior High graduate Morgan Brown contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Kristen Twait (Manson Northwest Webster) added nine points.
Iowa Central hosts Southeast Nebraska on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
