DEBBIE J. HOFBAUER

MOORLAND - Debbie J. Hofbauer, 53, of Moorland, died on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice house.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 9:45 am in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorland with the Rev. Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in Moorland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday where there will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. all at the funeral home.

Survivors include husband Randy; sons Josh and his wife Laurie of West Des Moines, Joe of Moorland; daughter Chrissy Tjebben and her husband Bo of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Cassie, Breanna, and Preston; a sister, Luann Nekvinda and her husband Craig of Fort Dodge; brothers John Sullivan of Columbia, Mo., Steve Sullivan of Fort Dodge; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John J. and Arla Davis Sullivan; a brother Mark Sullivan; and a sister-in-law Brenda Sullivan.

Debbie J. Sullivan was born on Aug. 2, 1955, in Fort Dodge. She attended and graduated from Gowrie High School. On April 19, 1974, she was united in marriage to Randy Hofbauer and the couple established their home in Moorland. Debbie was employed with A-1 Home Healthcare for several years and later at Trinity Regional Medical Center until her retirement due to ill health. She was a member of the Moorland Park Board for a number of years. Debbie supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation and was very active with Breast Cancer Research. She was a fun and spirited person who with great faith was devoted to her family and friends.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
