JANESVILLE, Wis. - Kathryn A. "Kathy" Patterson, age 72, of Janesville, went to be with the love of her life, her husband, Merlin L. "Bud" on Monday, November 10, 2008, at home.
She was born in Pocahontas, IA, on May 10, 1936, the daughter of the late Earl and Sudie (Crain) Colee. She graduated from Pocahontas Public School and later married Merlin L. "Bud" Patterson in Fort Dodge, IA in August of 1955. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1992, at the age of 55. They made their home in Fort Dodge from 1955 until transferring to Janesville in 1982 with Hormel. Kathy was employed by Rock County National Bank now known as Johnson Bank from 1985 to 1997. She was active in many activities at the Senior Center and loved to play cards with her friends. She was a volunteer for RSVP for many years.
Kathy is survived by her three children: Elizabeth Lombard of Fort Dodge, IA, Diedra (Jim) Hessling of Cottage Grove and Steven (Karen) Patterson of Fort Dodge, IA; seven grandchildren: Neil, Kiel, Amanda, Elisha, Erin, Annie and Kami; three great grandchildren: Jevan, Jayton and Kylee; and a brother, Keith Colee of Blooming Prairie, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and four sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUENRAL HOME.
