Dennis Van Roekel, president of the National Education Association, will discuss the general election and answer questions about educational issues in a public forum on Sept. 30 at Des Moines Area Community College's West Campus in West Des Moines on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Van Roekel, who graduated from Manson High School, has taught for 25 years.
