DEERFIELD, IL - Ann Porter Hill, 73, passed away at her home on August 20, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 30 Riverwoods Rd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069.

Ann is survived by husband William D. Hill, son, Daniel (Marla) Gutknecht, daughter, Elizabeth (Jordan) Hegedus, eight step-children,twelve step-grandchildren, brother, Jack Porter of San Francisco, sister, Jill Porter of Fort Dodge and nephews, Cory Lang of Cedar Falls and Scott Lang of Fort Dodge and their families.

Ann was born in Fort Dodge, June 1, 1935, to Gretchen E. and Thomas B. Porter. She attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1953. She attended the New York School of Finance prior to becoming a registered representative of the New York Stock Exchange.

She was a long-time resident of Deerfield, Illinois, also enjoying time spent at their home in the Bahamas.
